Travel information

Getting to Paris by Plane: Orly airport or Charles de Gaulle airport

Getting to Paris by Train: Travelers can get to Paris by train from most neighboring countries such as Belgium, Spain, Holland, UK, Germany, among others. Train fares are usually more expensive than plane tickets and the train takes longer. Therefore, we recommend taking a plane to Paris, but this alternative is perfect for those who don’t like to fly.

Getting to Paris by bus: Getting around Europe by bus is also relatively easy and cheap. There are buses to Paris from most capitals in Europe. However, the journey can be very long, sometimes taking over 15 hours.

Getting to Paris by car If you’re planning to explore other parts of France during your trip to Paris, you might want to hire a car. In Paris, it is very difficult to find on-street parking in the center and normally it is very expensive. Parkings in Paris costs 25€ per day approximately.

Visa and permission

Every person entering France should have a valid passport and/or identification card.

You may need a visa depending on your country of origin. Please contact the nearest French Embassy or Consulate for further information.

It is the sole responsibility of the attendee to take care of his or her visa requirements.

Attendees who require an entry visa must take into consideration the time for application procedures. Attendees should contact the nearest embassy or consulate to determine the appropriate timing of their visa applications. It is recommended to apply for a visa at least one month in advance.

An invitation letter will be issued after a successful registration. Please contact the organizing chair at (submission@itsis.org).

A letter of invitation is issued solely to assist participants with visa applications and/or to obtain funding for their attendance at the conference.

The invitation letter does not imply any financial obligation on the part of the conference organizers. If you require a letter of invitation, you must pay your tuition fees.

The ITSIS 2022 team will be delivering invitation letters to those who have already submitted online invitation requests. If you are unsure whether you need a visa to attend the conference, please check with your local embassy or travel agent.

If you do, you must begin the process as soon as possible so that you obtain your visa in time for the conference or registration deadline. Subject to certain conditions, we can provide a standard invitation letter to assist you with your visa application. We do ask, though, that you submit your application to the relevant authority and follow up accordingly. Unfortunately, the conference team is unable to follow up on your application on your behalf or enter into correspondence directly with consulates.
